OTWAY ANNIVERSARY BOOK – $8
This book contains a lot of information on the boat’s operational life and the recollections of many of her commanding officers. Regardless of whether you served on this boat or not its final resting place in Holbrook NSW makes it an icon for all submariners and a great collectible. Otway is of course no longer in service but is famous as the submarine in the park in the NSW rural town of Holbrook, Named after the WW1 submariner and VC winner. Heres a little tourist video of the submarine and the museum:

AE2 EXPEDITIONS BOOK – $25.00
Known as the Silent Anzac, the Australian Submarine AE2 commanded by Lt Cdr Dacre Stoker played a significant role in the Gallipoli campaign. The heroism of her crew has been better understood thanks to the expeditions mounted to find, honor, and preserve what is surely one of the major significant artifacts from the Gallipoli Campaign. This 49-page book includes unique insights and photographs from those who were involved in the expeditions to AE2’s resting place and preservation in the Sea of Marmara in Turkey. Written and compiled by Dr Roger Neill, the lead scientist on 2 of the expeditions it provides unique insights into the expeditions and the problems along with seldom seen photographs taken inside the hull of AE2. The Foreword by Dr Michael White, President of FHSM inc says, quote:

Sometimes the ghosts of the past come to whisper in our ear, begging to be discovered and remembered

PLATS BOOK – $12.00
This is 38-page booklet was developed from the Webinar in 2021. It contains a history of the site and many unique photos of RANTE and some of the people who worked there. It also contains humorous recollections by those who served in the now-defunct naval base and Torpedo establishment it’s definitely one for your library. Apart from the historic aspects of the now parkland site it is the memories contianed in this little book that will catch the readers eye and interest. FHSM was grateful to the assistance and input of the Naval Historical Society and The Submarine Institute of Australia in both the Webinar and the production of this book. SUBMARINE IN THE PARK BOOK – $12.0
The Otway book is designed for visitors to the museum and tourists as well as those who want to know how the submarine came to be in the park. The 15-page book contains details of the submarine’s past, operational history, and the names of its first and last commissioning crews. Theres even room for your personal notes and recollections of your visit or your time on the submarine and the museum.
