Looking for a laugh and some lyrical reading?? If your a veteran or the relative of veteran and particularly submariner veterans then you will get a giggle or two out of this book. Lofty and Tezza are typical ex submariners irreverent, non conforming and certainly not woke.. Their trail of chaos across the country and their pranks will certainly entertain many and maybe revise old memories for others. There are 2 more books in the series so keep an eye out for them in 2026. All graphics were done by Sandy Freeleagus. The other 2 in the series coming later in 2026 are:
The Christmas Cruise
Mission Improbable

This is the second in the submariners cookbook series and is dedicated to all Submarine chefs that kept us fed and watered under difficult conditions. This book serves to keep alive the legacy of the many submariner Chefs who have served our country. Whilst this book is focused on the Oberon Class Submariner Chefs, those who follow them in the Collins boats carry on the traditions, pride, and values of the Royal Australian Navy. Submariner Chefs endure the hardship and demands of satisfying a crew of some seventy tired and hungry sailors three times a day, from a space no larger than small garden shed. The unrelenting tossing of a submarine on the surface, the angles of a submarine underwater, made it a significant challenge. Added to this, the submarine environment limits the holding of fresh produce, therefore the skills and creativity of the Chefs are essential to satisfy the expectations of the crew and maintain their morale.
Included in this book is a register of known submariner chefs at the time of publishing. However, The author (John Goss) is maintaining an ongoing register.
